Help Startups is a web portal serving entrepreneurs and all those providing services and support to the entrepreneurial community. Entrepreneurs in the context of this portal are both those already ‘in the game’ and those who are considering starting a company. For instance, our Getting Started feature is specifically targeted to ‘newbies’, while Informational Links is intended more for current entrepreneurs. However, all of our features can be used by anyone.
We intend to continually enhance our portal to improve existing features and to provide new ones to broaden the benefits available. Also, we will be rapidly evolving Help Startups into a robust, social networking environment. These advancements will provide unforeseen benefits to all participants, and enable us to be responsive to the needs of our community.
Linking is the key concept behind Help Startups. We are working to link entrepreneurs with important information, necessary resources, investors, qualified executives, new opportunities and, most importantly, each other.
We require people to register on the portal to be able to post things like Company Profiles, Events and Resources, and to be able to participate in the Colleague Forum. This is because we need to know who to contact if we need clarification and when it is time to renew a posting. Also, the Colleague Forum is interactive and we send out email notices to people on new question postings and when new responses have been posted to questions they are participating in.
