Anita's Bruschetta

 

  • Thin baguette-style French bread
  • Olive oil
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 2 8oz. pkg. cream cheese (lo-fat)
  • ½ c. mayo
  • Grated Romano cheese (4 - 6 oz.)
  • Garlic powder (to taste)
  • Fresh basil (chopped)
  • Fresh Roma tomatoes (sliced)


Instructions:

Cut bread into ¾ inch slices and brush with olive oil. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Broil until golden brown. Blend cream cheese, mayo, Romano cheese and garlic powder. Spread liberally on toast. Sprinkle with chopped fresh basil and top with a tomato slice.
